Amazon Analysis

My business partners and I worked on a project for our Principles of Management class. We were given the task to assess, evaluate, and create a future plan for a company that is listed in the top 500 of the stock market, and as how the title says we chose Amazon.

An effective way that helped us get started was with a S.W.O.T. Analysis. For the majority of people, it is easy to spot Amazon’s strengths and opportunities since it is a successful multi-billionaire company, but yet every company has weaknesses and threats no matter how successful they are. And that is where we come in, to dive deeper into how this business runs from the front-line management to the top executive. And our main goal is to present to Amazon a full evaluation and a new solution plan for the company.

Foreign Investment Research Project

Doing business internationally requires knowing how to evaluate the not-always-obvious opportunities, challenges, and risks associated with doing business in a foreign country. In our Global Business Environment class, the purpose of this assignment was to give us a chance to demonstrate our skills in doing that. Specifically, we played the role of a research intern for an international investment firm located in New York City. This hypothetical firm has a large pool of money that it manages on behalf of wealthy people who wish to invest in early-stage businesses that have high growth potential. And our role as research interns was to conduct the initial analysis, and then present the findings, remotely, to a fictitious group of investment managers.

Target Market Project

A target market project is a strategic initiative undertaken by businesses to identify and define a specific audience segment most likely to be interested in their products or services. It involves comprehensive research and analysis of demographic, psychographic, and behavioral factors to gain a deep understanding of the target audience. The project enables businesses to tailor their marketing efforts effectively, ultimately leading to more successful customer engagement and increased profitability.
